SHORT
Flickdial 1.1.0 converts and edits files on Mac, Windows and Linux. Processing stays local, originals stay unchanged, and early access is free with no account.

MEDIUM
Flickdial 1.1.0 brings file conversion, editing and actions to a dial at your pointer. Drag a file, hold a key, choose an option and release. Convert images, video, audio and documents, crop a photo, trim a clip or redact a photo. Files are processed on your computer and never uploaded; the original stays unchanged. Available for Mac, Windows and Linux, Flickdial is free during early access and requires no account. Keep working beside your files.

LONG
Flickdial 1.1.0 puts file conversion, editing and actions around a dial at your pointer. Drag a file and hold a key to bring up the options, then flick toward the result you want. A copy leaves the original unchanged.

Convert images, video, audio, documents and more. Crop a photo, trim a clip, redact a photo or turn an image into vector artwork. Other tools remove backgrounds, compress files, make PDFs searchable, add page numbers and watermarks, and merge or split PDFs. Actions include copying, moving and copying a file’s path.

Processing happens on your computer, and files are never uploaded. There is no account to create. Flickdial is available for Mac, Windows and Linux, with platform requirements and downloads listed on its website. It is free during early access. The idea is simple: keep file jobs close to the files, so you can finish the edit and carry on working.

Recipes
23 presets for social platforms. Make a Portrait feed image at 1080 × 1350, saved as JPEG under 1.9 MB, or choose Story, X header, LinkedIn banner, YouTube thumbnail or Profile photo.
Drag the frame to choose what stays. See the safe zone or the profile circle before saving.
Pad with a color or a blurred copy, and allow enlarging when you need it.
Each copy is saved without location or camera details. Your starred recipes appear as a wheel.

Get colors
Find a photo’s main colors: choose 4, 6, 8 or 10. Copy any code with one click, or save a color card as PNG or SVG.

Big iPhone photos
24 MP and 48 MP iPhone photos, HEIC included, now open in every photo tool. Remove background included.
HEIC photo tools and saving in HEIC are Mac-only.

Backdrop
Choose colors and gradients taken from your own photo. Undo and redo give you room to try another direction.

Find duplicates
Find exact copies, checked byte for byte, and look-alike photos in a folder.
Choose which to keep. The rest go to the Trash, and Put back restores them.
Cloud-only files are never downloaded. Save the list as CSV.

Clean for sharing
Scan a photo for faces, QR codes, names, emails and phone numbers, then cover what you choose.
Location and camera details are removed from the copy. Your original stays unchanged.
Automatic face and QR-code detection, and text recognition from images, are Mac-only.

Checksums
Get the SHA-256 checksum for any file. Copy it, compare it with a pasted value, verify a checksum file, or save one.

Modern photo formats
JPEG XL photos open everywhere WebP photos do. Save AVIF photos up to 50 megapixels, including iPhone’s 12, 24 and 48 MP photos.
Saving in HEIC and text recognition from images are Mac-only.
